EWaste Africa is committed to ensuring that our business operations and supply chains are free from modern slavery, forced labor, child labor, and human trafficking. We maintain a zero-tolerance approach to any form of exploitation, coercion, or abuse. We believe in conducting our business fairly, ethically, and with utmost respect for fundamental human rights.

2. Scope

This policy applies to all employees, contractors, temporary workers, and suppliers working with or on behalf of EWaste Africa across all our operations.

3. Our Standards and Practices

Fair and Voluntary Employment: All employees are provided with clear, written employment contracts, and are paid fairly in compliance with South African labour laws.

  • Voluntary Association: Every worker’s employment is entirely voluntary, and individuals are free to leave their employment in accordance with their contracts.
  • Safe Working Environments: We prioritise the health and safety of our workforce.
  • Operational Protections: We provide safe and hygienic working environments, appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE), and strictly monitor hours of work, rest breaks, and holidays.
  • Zero Child Labor: We strictly prohibit the recruitment or employment of child labour in any part of our operations.
  • Supplier Due Diligence: We expect our suppliers, contractors, and business partners to hold themselves and their own supply chains to the same high ethical standards.
  • Vetting Commitments: We are committed to vetting our supply chain partners to verify that no forced labor or exploitation is occurring.

4. Reporting and Responsibility

All employees and partners are responsible for preventing, detecting, and reporting any concerns regarding modern slavery. Any suspicions can be reported confidentially to the management. We ensure that whistleblowers who raise concerns in good faith are fully protected from any form of retaliation.
